I was first introduced to the insurance industry working a part-time job selling personal home and automobile insurance at an Insurance Agency. It wasn't until taking a Risk Management & Insurance elective course at the University of Calgary, Alberta where my interest in risk and insurance grew. After completing my undergrad with a Commerce degree and focus in Risk Management and Insurance, I pursued a career at Aon Risk Solutions. Working closely with clients in the energy market (oil and gas), it paved a pathway for my desire to grow my knowledge and work experience. Within the five years at Aon Risk Solutions, I had completed my Canadian Risk Management certificate, Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker program, and Chartered Insurance Professional designation. An opportunity arose at ATCO Ltd., which changed directions in my career to focus on enterprise risk management. I continue to expand my knowledge and am in the process of completing my Fellowship Chartered Insurance Professional designation. Aside from my career and education being heavily focused in risk management and insurance, I enjoy exploring the Canadian great outdoors and cultivating my experience through traveling.
